Target Tuesday

Tuesday!  My favorite day is Tuesday because it's Target Tuesday!  I can link up with Tara and do some drooling at my computer screen.  If I can't be at Target in person, this is the next best thing.

First, I found this little lovely.  OMG!  Talk about drooling!  It really can't get any cuter than this little gem of a wallet.

Second, this one too.  What's better than yellow and polka dots?  Nothing.

Third, I think I might definitely need this for all the pool and beach time that is soon to come.

Fourth, I'm going through kind of a chair fetish phase right now.  I'm looking for a chair for our bedroom to sit on while putting shoes on, to sit on while reading, or to collect clothes piles on. Some of these don't look the best for sitting comfortably to read, but wowsa! They are sure cute!

That is just a smidgen of the many chairs I see.  I could post tons more, but I will spare you.

Finally, this springy Essie polish is calling my name.  This one might be a true possibility.  All it will take is me getting in the car and driving a few miles.  I hope I do it.  I might just have to pick up my fedora from last week's post also.  I think the votes for yes are winning!

Thanks for browsing my Target loving friends.  Show me your Target finds!  I always love new ideas.  :)

Miscellany Monday

Hello sweet friends!  Happy Monday!  It's a beautiful day here today with a clear blue sky with big poooofy white clouds.  We're coming off a cold and rainy weekend, which I absolutely loved and now the air is perfectly clear.  So Cal living at it's finest.

The rainy weekend lent itself to a lot of random hanging around time, most of which included eating often and too much.

Here's our weekend in pictures.

Don't rainy days always need to begin with Starbucks?  There's no answer to that question except yes!

A little Target joy!  I found the fedora that I posted on Target Tuesday.  I didn't get it.  :(  I got a scarf instead.  How's the hat look?  If I get good reviews maybe I can convince D that it's necessary for me to go back and get it!

We ended the day much like we started it, eating too much. At lunch we ate at Fridays in Temecula.  For dinner we ate at Ruby's in Riverside.  BTW...dinner for 3 at Ruby's $47.77.  I think NOT!  We didn't even get anything spectacular.  Fish n' chips, a sandwich, kid's Mac and Cheese, and a kid's shake.  Over $50 with tip!  Are you kidding me????  Bye Bye Ruby's!

I do think she liked it though!

Greesy, but pretty darn yummy!  Fell off the clean eating wagon this weekend, must get back on!

Sunday was more shopping, more food, more rain, more fun!

A yummy end to a yummy weekend...

How was yours?

Unfortunately Fortunate

It feels like I haven't blogged in forever.
It's only been three days.
Maybe that means I'm a "real" blogger now.
Each day that passed I thought, "I need to blog."

Today started out lovely.

It was supposed to be a day out with D's work teammates/friends and spouses.  We've been planning this day for months.  The ladies were going to go to get a mani/pedi, lunch, and shopping.  The guys were going to go golfing, as guys do. Fun, right?

As the week wore on, plans were going awry.  One of the husbands hurt his back and was told not to have any physical activity.  Plans kept changing.  He insisted he wanted to golf.  Then this morning his wife ended up with a fever and achy all over.  Poor girl.  She STILL wanted to go.  That's tough!  When I'm sick I want to die, not get my nails done.  Another of the friends didn't want to go anymore because he had a bad night.  Plans fell apart.  I totally understand being sick and I did not want to get sick either.

It ended up being great though!  D and I hiked up Mt. Rubidoux.  It was the perfect day for it with cloud covered skies and a cool breeze.  We got to the top and sat for awhile then went back down and drove to lunch.  I love going to lunch with D.  We went to Market Broiler and had salads and Clam Chowder.  I cheated on my gluten free and it was heavenly.

Then we came home and I took a nap.  There's nothing better than a cozy nap on a cloudy day.  A storm is coming and it's supposed to rain all weekend.  I cannot wait.

How was your Friday?
Plans this weekend?

Fun celebrity post coming tomorrow!

Yay! It's Target Tuesday!

I love Target Tuesday and I honestly do NEED want to go to Target today.  It's kind of bad that the cashiers there might be getting to know me a little bit. That doesn't stop me though!  I'm linking up with Tara.

Here are some lovelies I'd love to pick up, but probably will refrain from, considering my recent SLR splurge.

Love it!  Not sure if it really goes with my head shape and face though.  Hmm...

Oh my!  This is so darling.  If only I had somewhere fancy to go.  It would be so cute with a little black clutch.

Don't you think this might be a necessity for summer?

After having dinner at our friends' house last night, I definitely need this.  Best. Pico de Gallo. Ever.

Want these running capris by Champion so bad.  Might be a little more justified if I ever got out of the house and actually ran.

Uh Oh!  I might be in trouble with these.  I love all things turquoise and these are adorable.  NEED!  WANT!

Welp, that's all for today, I suppose.  Hold me back!  Please!

Taggy Tag! Longest post EVER!

I've been tagged! My friend Keri at The Baker Family (I love her.  She called me "sexy.") tagged me in the "11 Things" blog-tagging party that's been floating around.

Rules:
1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her.
6. No tag backs.

11 Randoms about me:

I chew ice constantly.  I love it.  I could eat it for dinner.
I sleep more during the day than I do at night.
I drink hot tea at least twice a day and I put a whole lotttta sugar in it.  Bad!

I cannot sleep without a cover on me, even if it's 115 degrees.
I talk to my pets as if they are my children.
I only wash my hair once a week.
I have a weird celebrity watching obsession.  We don't call it stalking.
I cannot eat eggs without ketchup.
I'm obsessed with peanut butter.
I have no feeling on the right tip of my tongue.
I'm basically deaf in my left ear.

Questions from Keri:
1. What was your first job? I worked at a candy kiosk.  I got
fired because I hated it and didn't do well at all.
2. What is your passion...what lights your fire?  I wish I
knew.  That's what I've been trying to figure out.
3. Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert!

4. What was your first car? Hyundai Excel
5. How do you unwind...what is your "happy place"? I drink
tea, read, look at blogs, take a VERY hot shower.
6. Do you hang your toilet paper over the roll or down the wall? It was always over the roll until my cats got a hold of
it.  So now it has to be down the wall or they unroll the
    entire thing.  Bad kitties!
7. What do you believe? I believe that the first day of
Daylight Savings time is the worst day of the year.  Yawn
8. Where do you dream of going?  So many places... Belize,
     Greece, Ireland, Fiji...
9. Do you like circus peanuts (you know, the orange foamy candies)?  NO!  Gross!!!!
10. Do you wear socks to bed?  Sometimes, but they always
end up off in the middle of the night.
11. How do you hope to be remembered?  Just as a kind
person who did the best I could.

Questions from Moi!
1.  What do you eat for breakfast?
2.  What's the scariest thing you've ever done?
3.  Who do you most admire?
4.  If you won the lotto, what would you do?
5.  What do you think first thing in the morning?
6.  Mexican or Italian food?
7.  Salty or sweet?
8.  Do you have any secrets that NOBODY knows?
9.  What is your job and do you like it?
10.  If you could do anything, what would you do?
11.  Have you ever fired a gun?

Taggy! Your turn!

Eek!  If you made it through all that, I commend you!  That was the longest post ever!  Thanks for reading.  If I tagged you and you don't do it, I won't be offended.  Promise!  ;)

It's Friday, Friday!

I didn't really just sing that.  I promise lie.

life rearranged

So, this week I didn't spend a lot of time outside of my home.  Trying to save money means a lot of no driving, a lot of no shopping (except when I accidentally bought that Digital Rebel on Amazon Prime...yeah...oops about that), and a lot of entertaining myself at home.  I did go to Sprouts to stock up on my Gluten Free goods and also for the organic chocolate covered peanuts that somehow have become my breakfast.  And I did venture out for some fresh air on a walk or two.  Best of all tonight I got to go to Laurel's band concert.  She rocks that flute!  I can't even tell who's actually playing, but I'm going to choose to believe that she's the best flutist in the band!

I did a lot in the kitchen this week.

Day 1: Stir Fry with organic veggies, sauce, and Qunioa.  This is always a hit!  One of my very faves.

Day 2:  Gluten Free Corn pasta, organic chicken breast, asparagus, peas, olive oil, a little white wine, and fresh grated parmesan cheese.  Another major hit.  I loved it!  Leftovers were yummy too!

Day 3:  Homemade tostada shells, organic refried beans, lettuce, cheese, salsa.  Delicious, quick, and so easy.  Pleaser to all!

I also had the time this week to go back to LOVING this stuff.  Amazing.  It smells soooooo good and leaves your skin, hair, nails, everything feeling extremely soft and smooth.  Go get some.  Organic and Unrefined are very important key words!  You'll smell like a Macaroon and I don't think there is anything wrong with that, is there?!

Now look at this!  See those socks on my feet?  There is a ton of coconut oil in there.  Do it!  Put the oil all over your feet.  Lather in on thick.  It'll be really oily, so don't try to walk.  Just oil it up good and put on your socks and don't take off until morning or a few hours later.  I did it 3 times and a BIG difference happened in my heels.

When I was done oiling up I managed to go outside and check the deliveries and looky what I found outside...Yup! Yup!  We'll see if my photos improve.  lol.  Wish me luck!

Last but not least, I can't leave out my little companion for my week around the house, nor my cute shoes that I actually got to wear out of the house.

Even though I was stuck inside for the majority, it didn't turn out bad.  I'm ending the week with a smile on my face and a Friday to spend with my step daughter.  I'm sure she's excited about that.  I am!  We'll find something fun to do!

Happy Weekend to all my lovelies.  You mean the world to me!  Thanks to new followers and old followers and if you haven't followed yet, you should!  There's something fun coming up soon for followers!  ;)

Really, It's OK!

Hiya!  First of all, WELCOME to my new followers!  I loooove getting new followers and comments.  It's so exciting.  I just might check my email many times a day hoping for those emails.  ;)  So, welcome and thank you so much!  I love all the new friends I'm making!

This week is going fast!
Too fast!
As it gets closer for time to go back to work, the time goes faster.
I'm scared about it.
Having nightmares already about making the decision.
I can go back on April 27th or I can not.  If I do not go back then I lose my current position, but am guaranteed whatever the next position is that opens up.  I'm not sad about losing my current position.  I don't like 3rd grade.  I want 2nd grade back or to try kindergarten again.  It's still scary though because who knows what the other schools are like.  It could be awful anywhere or it could be wonderful.  How am I supposed to know?!?!?!

This is my best teaching friend Shannon and me in happier teaching times.  We've been teaching together for 9 years now.  It'll be so different not being together.  :(

But, it's okay.  It really is!  It has to be.  I must trust that it is.  So I'm going to link up with Neely for It's O.K. Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's completely ok...

...that I don't WANT to go back to work.  Really.

...that I bought a DSLR finally!  Been dreaming for years!

...that I have no idea how to use said DSLR.  I'll learn!

...that I ate chocolate covered peanuts for breakfast.  They were organic!

...that I haven't had a real night's sleep in days.  I guess it has to be o.k. since I can't seem to control it.

...that I have a crush on Zac Efron now that he's become a MAN and my husband calls him my boyfriend.  I can handle that!

Well my friends, that's it for the okays today!  Happy Friday eve day!
